Pet portraits

Commission a pet portrait from Benjammin and Beany and a percentage of the fee will go towards OneKind's crucial animal protection campaigns. Founder, Amanda Walker, explains the inspiration behind her business.

Drawing of bassets

"Benjammin and Beany was founded in memory of two dogs who changed my life. With my interest and personal experience of pet loss, bereavement and animal communication, I hope to create beautiful, treasured drawings for anyone who wants one.  Always at the heart of my work is love, respect and a personal understanding of the grieving process following the loss of an animal companion.

I create pet portraits on A3 sized paper in pencil or charcoal and unique (©) Pet Storybooks. The Storybooks are designed to capture the essence of your pet's personality in 10 beautiful pencil sketches. Each book is professionally printed and bound and is delivered in a beautiful box. A unique and stunning way to remember your pet or to give as a gift to another.

My website
includes a page on bereavement, with many useful links. I understand the bond that can exist between species, and I always try to develop a connection with whomever I have the honour to draw. Furthermore, if the drawing is required after pet loss, you can be assured that love, respect and understanding will be flowing from my heart into my hand as I work.

Portraits start at £80 based on one animal; Storybooks range from £170 - £195.  2.5% of all commission profits are donated to Onekind."
