Do you want to have a lot of fun, share a lot of great music and make a real difference to the welfare of vulnerable animals? Then why not host a 'pop-up' Animal Tracks Record Shop?

We can provide you with all the kit to set up your record shop (including the CD's!).
It only takes a few hours of your time - you can even run it from your workplace, school, church or community centre - but the difference you will make to help animals can last a lifetime.
We can provide you with:
All you need to supply is a venue and a table to display your wares. The more creative you want to be the better!
You can even invite people to come down and 'bring and buy' by donating their own unwanted CD's on the day. It's a great way to meet people who are also passionate about caring for animals of all kinds. Not to mention a fantastic way to spend time with your friends and colleagues and make a real difference.
Please drop us a line at tracks@onekind.org or call us on 0131 225 6039 if you are interested in playing your part in protecting animals.
CD Recycling
Did you know that 2500 tonnes of CDs are thrown away every year, while the average CD album is only ever played eight times?
Over 130 million new music CD’s are sold each year, but as digital players become the norm it is likely that more CD’s will be thrown away.
Many people don’t realise that CDs can be recycled extracting the polycarbonate and aluminium content for use in the manufacture of new components using hard plastics and metals. While at present this can only be done at a small number of specialist sites in the UK, it is definitely the future. Previously the only way to dispose of CDs was to send them to landfill sites, which as you can image isn't good for the environment.
OneKind will always recycle any CDs we can't turn into funds.
Polymer Recycling Ltd are able to recycle all elements of a CD including labels and glass cases. You can find out more about this process on their website.
