Board Members

We have vacancies for enthusiastic individuals who can bring business and professional experience, particularly, but not limited to, governance and  finance.

Others who are drawn to animal welfare matters and have other experiences are also encouraged to apply.

Trustees responsibilities include:

  • Setting overall policy, defining goals and setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.
  • To ensure the financial viability and stability of the charity and proper investment of the charity's funds.
  • To ensure that the charity complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
  • To maintain an overview of the charity’s affairs and ensure that the charity pursues its objects as defined in its governing document.

Meetings are approximately every 6/8 weeks and take place at around 6:00pm in central Edinburgh. 

We would like to hear from people with a professional or management background who would like to use their business skills to support OneKind achieve its objectives.

A full induction to OneKind and the role and responsibilities of a Trustee will be provided and travel expenses can be paid if requested.
