A ban on glue traps (2026)

In July 2026, the Scottish Government introduced a ban on the sale and use of glue traps in Scotland.

Glue traps cause significant and prolonged suffering, leaving animals stuck without food or water, often leading to injury, distress and a slow death.

OneKind campaigned for many years to ban these cruel devices. Scotland now joins Wales and England, where bans have been in place since 2023 and 2024 respectively.
