About us Our team At OneKind we have a small team who make a big impact with the help of lots of fantastic volunteers. Read on to find out more about our fantastic team who work tirelessly to make change happen! Bob Elliot, Director - Bob started working for OneKind in October 2018 having previously worked in the nature conservation and welfare sector for nearly 25 years. This included posts at The National Trust for Scotland, The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and latterly as the Head of Investigations for the RSPB, managing and overseeing the detection and investigation of serious wildlife crime cases. Bob was delighted to be offered the Director role for OneKind being given the opportunity to lead a respected and evidence led welfare organisation to help make a difference for animals in Scotland, exposing the cruelty and persecution so often encountered in our domestic, farmed and wild animals. When not at work Bob can be found leading nature tours, watching wildlife and sea kayaking. Eve Massie Bishop, Campaigner and Press Officer - Eve joined OneKind in July 2019, with prior experience in research and legal roles with several international animal welfare organisations and a LLB from the University of Glasgow’s School of Law. Eve is responsible for creating and delivering OneKind's campaigns, securing media coverage and producing supporter communications. In her spare time, Eve can be found experimenting with vegan recipes, and spending time outdoors with her rescue greyhound, Bob. Lauren Buchanan, Fundraising and Communications Officer - Lauren joined OneKind in 2018 and has 16 years’ experience in the fundraising sector. She is passionate about animals and their welfare. Lauren looks after OneKind’s members, supporters, challenge events and is responsible for finding new ways to grow OneKind’s income. All of our work is funded by donations so the more we can raise, the more we can do to protect animals. Outside of work Lauren spends a lot of time advocating for animals, enjoying the outdoors or spending time with her two cats, Monkey and Banana. Pauline Robertson, Office Manager - Pauline has been part of the OneKind team since 1982, taking on a full-time role after completing her education. As an animal lover, it was a perfect fit and Pauline has been with OneKind ever since. As Office Manager, it’s Pauline’s role to ensure the smooth running of the office, and she manages all of OneKind’s finances, processes and systems. Pauline works closely with all other members of the team, providing necessary support for campaigns, investigations and fundraising. Rachel Lee, Communications and Social Media Officer - As the organisation’s newest recruit, Rachel joined the OneKind team in 2023. Rachel has a background in journalism and the third sector, having always aspired to work for an animal welfare organisation. In her role, Rachel advocates for Scotland’s farmed, wild and companion animals through media: creating content for socials, writing blogs, supporter communications and spreading OneKind’s message in the media. Outside of work, Rachel can be found spoiling her adopted cat, Zephyr, volunteering, or painting (animals of course!). She is a vegan who is passionate about animal rights and aims to live her life showing kindness to all beings. Get in touch with Rachel at: [email protected] Manage Cookie Preferences
