  • How can I help?
  1. Our campaigns

How can I help?

Thank you for your compassion for animals and for choosing to support the work of OneKind.

We believe every single animal’s life matters and there are many ways you can support our campaigns to end persecution and cruelty towards them.

Here are some ways you can help:

Fox emerging from undergrowth

  • Learn about our current campaigns and find details of actions you can take online. Signing open letters and petitions, and responding to parliamentary committee's call to views has a huge impact on our work!
  • Sign up to become a OneKind Animal Advocate and help us to lobby decision-makers online on animal welfare issues. This has a huge impact and can be done without stepping foot outside your door!
  • Join our voice. Sign up to our e-mail list and you will be first to hear about our campaign actions and updates, promotions, fundraising and events.
  • Follow us on social media. Share our content on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Help us to raise funds.

All our work is funded by generous donations, we receive no Government funding or grants, therefore we rely on the ongoing support of people like you.

OneKind supporters ready for challenge event

  • You can organise a fundraiser: a pub quiz, dinner party, celebration, or any other ‘fun’ event that can raise funds and get our message out there.

  • Take part in a challenge event: a marathon, 10k race or Kiltwalk. Whether you choose to take part in a ‘fun’ race or something more challenging, you’ll be helping us deliver better protection for animals.
  • Do you own a shop, cafe or bar? Can you place one of our collection cans and/or leaflets on your counter? Please get in touch as leaving one of our cans and/or leaflets where your customers can see them helps us raise vital funds and awareness of our campaigns.

  • Can you share our leaflets with friends and colleagues? Or give them to animal-friendly cafes or shops? Please get in touch as sharing our leaflets helps to raise awareness of our campaigns.

  • Buy merchandise and gifts from our ethical, cruelty free shop. 100% of our profits from the OneKind shop go straight to our campaigns to end cruelty to animals.

There are other simple ways you can help us while online:

  • Help us win grants from My Giving Circle.
  • Make donations that won’t cost you a penny while you shop.
  • Join our lottery.
  • Leave a gift in your Will.

There can be no design alteration that will make snares humane; the fundamentals of snaring causes physical and mental suffering. The Scottish Government must ban snares without exception.
