About us Our history 1957 – SSPV lease mobile day cinema to show anti-vivisection films The cinema was a self-contained film unit with several tons of equipment. The SSPV and other Societies had used mobile film units before, but it was believed that this was the first time arc lamps had been used to show anti-vivisection films in sunlight.
