The WAWC has eight members. There are three Trustees, of whom two are also members of the Committee. All members of the WAWC sit as independent individuals. They are appointed for the high level of expertise and experience they can bring to the Committee, in a variety of areas affecting the welfare of wild animals in the UK.

Since the formation of the Committee, Libby Anderson, who was OneKind’s Policy Director until her retirement in 2020, is the Committee Secretary and Kirsty Jenkins, OneKind’s Policy Officer, provides additional support.
