What is a Facebook Fundraiser?

It’s perfect for those who are on the go most of the time, live in rural areas or feel unable to take part in a sports or specific event but still want to do something to show their support for animals. It’s also great for those who don’t want or need gifts for their birthday or anniversary but still want to celebrate! Sometimes those closest to us struggle for gift ideas so this takes that worry away from them!

What’s more – Facebook will automatically transfer the money you raise through your fundraiser to OneKind making it a really simple way of supporting Scotland’s animals. You choose your fundraising target and the length of time you would like your fundraiser to run for.

What do I do?

• Decide what you want to host your fundraiser for; it could be in celebration of your birthday; special anniversary; to commemorate a loved one or pet no longer with us or just because you want to raise money to help Scotland’s animals!
• Let your friends and family know! If you are having a birthday fundraiser, then let them know in advance you would prefer a donation to your page instead of gifts.
