A cat was caught in one of three snares that were found in Morningside, Edinburgh.

Snare set in fence on footpath

On three separate occasions a wire snare was found near to a railway footbridge at the former Morningside Station.

On June 7th a cat was found trapped in what appeared to be a purchased snare that had been adapted to be secured on fencing. The fence ran alongside a path to the footbridge. The cat was released from the contraption.

On June 8th another similar snare was found in the same position in a gap at the bottom of the fence.

On June 16th the same style of snare as the previous two was found in a gap in the fence on the other side of the footbridge.
