The snares, which were found on open access land on Bamford Moor and at Stanage Lodge, were inactive at the time, but were ready for use and still presented a risk to wildlife. Both of the areas host badgers, some of which had been snared previously and rescued by members of the public. A stink pit was also seen at Stanage Lodge.
